​Melissa McCall-Owen, started the private, locally owned, small business that opened to teach safety, situational awareness and firearms training. They also teach clients how to remain safe and legal, with an/or without a firearm. There are small & large classrooms on site and you can request us to travel to your communities, churches, county offices and home.

​​Melissa McCall-Owen is an insured and certified instructor/range safety officer by the NRA & the USCCA. Loving to practice firearms and hunt since an early age. A local of Transylvania County.
She is certified to teach Firearms Safety, Concealed Carry Handgun and Home Defense, Women's handgun & Self Defense, Marksmanship Simplified, Defensive Handgun, Refuse To Be A Victim, Countering The Mass Shooting, Emergency Preparedness, Public & Personal defense with and without a firearm, Boxing/kickboxing/ self-defense and Eddie Eagle (children's gun safety K-5), and several more.
Experience with hundreds of students in the last 6 years and with classes every month. Her goal is to spread the word and to teach situational awareness and safety with or without firearms to all people without discrimination or judgement.

Melissa is a kind, patient and knowledgeable instructor. She aced all of her studies and shot a Level 4 on her testing. Based on her experience and expertise with Situational Awareness and Safety Planning with the Refuse to Be A Victim Class, Melissa was chosen as NRA's speaker of the quarter (Spring 2025) and featured in their nationally distributed newsletter.

Donna Robinson is a retired Magistrate from the NC Judicial Branch. She is a member of the Transylvania County Sheriff's Department and is the Crime Victim Advocate. She is full-time with both Absolute Total Health & Fitness Clinic and WNC Safety & Tactical Center. She is the coordinator and assistant for all classes, handles all registrations, payments and scheduling. Adam Summey is a Detective with the Transylvania County Sheriff's Department. In his free time, he enjoys teaching Conceal Carry Class. . He will be teaching Conceal Carry for NC permit classes as the Chief instructor with Melissa McCall-Owen throughout the year.
