Refuse to Be A Victim!
Melissa McCall-Owen and her passion to spread the word about Safety and Situational Awareness is what sparked the beginning of her business. Raising 2 children as a single mother she had to be aware of her surroundings to protect herself and her 2 children. Now she wants to spread the word to all families as a whole, especially to women and children. She teaches the award-winning program "Refuse to be a Victim!" to those in her county and the surrounding counties. Dedicated in this challenge, she won the speaker of the year award and was in the Spring Newsletter for 2025. She says it is an honor to teach this program. The local Sheriffs Dept has sponsored this program for the last 4 years and invites all of the families in the county to sign up with Melissa's assistant, who is also the Sheriffs Dept Victim Advocate, Ms. Donna Robinson, for the fall event (9/13/25) that has become very popular in the area.
